Paint Your Own Snowdogs – Complete!

The final Paint Your Own Snowdog Art Club saw students from St. Lukes Primary School complete their Paint Your Own Snowdogs after 5 weeks of designing, experimenting and painting.

Follow their progress from beginning to end on the Paint Your Own Snowdog blogs.

The students from years 4, 5 and 6 designed their Snowdogs, selected the colour palette, experimented with different paints and finally added the finishing touches to their Snowdogs last week. Although the Paint Your Own Snowdog comes complete with 6 water based paints and a paint brush the nice people at Cass Art supported the students by providing some Posca Pens to add those finite details. With no shortage of inspiration or ideas the students jumped straight into their Snowdog designs and had a great time crafting their final pieces. The students were really engaged and excited about the whole project saying:

“My Snowdog looks amazing. I loved showing it off in assembly.”

“I loved art club. My best bit was doing the designing.”

“I liked painting my Snowdog and I was really happy with it. So was my Mum.”

“Using the Posca Pens was great fun. I want some for Christmas.”

“I think my Snowdog was the best.”

“My favourite part was using the paints and adding glitter for the medal! I think it looked dead good.”
