The Snowman and The Snowdog, North Tyneside 2020
Take a wintry walk around The Snowman™ and The Snowdog North Tyneside and enjoy a festive sculpture trail inspired by the animated sequel to Raymond Briggs’ timeless picture book The Snowman™. In the heart-warming story, a young boy builds a snowman and creates a snowdog with the remaining snow. At midnight both of his creations magically come to life.
Wild in Art’s collection of twelve beautifully painted Snowmen, each inspired by the classic song The Twelve Days of Christmas and eight uniquely decorated Snowdogs are waiting to be discovered. Find them around North Tyneside in Wallsend, North Shields, Killingworth, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay until the end of January 2021. Visit the Walking with The Snowman art trails website to view all of the sculptures and download the trail map.

Local artist Lisa Kirkbride has designed the A Partridge in a Pear Tree Snowman, which can be found outside For the Love of the North at Spanish City in Whitley Bay. Prints and Christmas cards based on Lisa’s design can be purchased in-store, online and in selected St Oswald’s Hospice shops.
